Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Arrives With New Colors And New Size
After the original size of 42mm and the reduced 37mm version launched last year, the Nomos Club Sport Neomatik collection now reveals the middle ground in 39mm.
The new size arrives in earth tones in the form of three variants, inspired by the ‘Indian Summer’ which the German brand named ‘Tabac’ in dark brown, ‘Ember’ in gold beige, and ‘Smoke’ in light grey.
The galvanized sunburst dials painted in warm colours arrive with the traditional layout, which includes printed Arabic hour markers and pencil hands all filled with white Super-LumiNova that glows blue in the dark, running seconds at 6 o’clock with a radial pattern, and a 60-minute white track. As in the reduced version, there is also no place for a date window.
On the outside, the new Nomos Club Sport Neomatik comes dressed in a round steel case measuring 39.50 mm in diameter (yes, the brand chose to call it 39mm, but it could also be called 40mm) and 8.40 / 8.50 mm thick for the steel or sapphire glass case back options, whose surfaces feature a polished finish, sapphire glass on the front, push-pull crown at 3 o’clock with brand’s signature, and 200m of water resistance.
Inside we can find exactly the same Caliber DUW3001 as the reduced version which, as already mentioned, does not have a date window, whose automatic movement operates at 21,600 Vph and offers up to 43 hours of power reserve.
Like the entire collection, the new size comes with a three-link steel bracelet that alternates between a polished and brushed finish.
As for prices, it is much more affordable than the wide version as it does not include the data complication and is only €140 more expensive than the reduced size version, with prices between €2,820 for the version with a solid rear case and €3,120 for the variant with open case back.
Our Opinion
Earth tones that may seem boring to many are increasingly attractive to others. They don’t fit so well in summer but seem to be a great choice for the newly arrived autumn season. Of all the ‘Tabac’ versions it’s what I like the most, as it is elegant and seductive, it’s just a shame it doesn’t come in a smaller size.
