Nodus And Raven Introduce The New TrailTrekker Carbon GMT
The long-running collaboration between Nodus and Raven Watches continues with the introduction of the new TrailTrekker Carbon, the fourth watch in the Project TrailTrekker series. Designed as a practical travel companion, the latest edition combines the familiar architecture of the Nodus Contrail GMT with design cues inspired by the Raven Trekker, while introducing forged carbon components that give each watch a unique appearance.

Compact Case with a Stealth Finish
Built around a compact 39.50 mm stainless steel case, the watch measures 11.80 mm thick and receives a dark grey DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, enhancing scratch resistance while reinforcing its stealthy, tactical aesthetic. The case is paired with a bidirectional 24-hour GMT bezel featuring a forged carbon insert, a material chosen not only for its lightweight characteristics but also for its distinctive marbled texture.

Forged Carbon with a Unique Glow
One of the standout features of the TrailTrekker Carbon is its extensive use of forged carbon. Created by compressing chopped carbon fibres with resin under high pressure and heat, the material produces unique organic patterns, ensuring that no two watches are exactly alike. Both the dial and bezel showcase this textured finish.

Adding another layer of visual appeal, the resin used in the forged carbon is infused with Super-LumiNova, creating glowing veins across the dial and bezel in low-light conditions. Rather than illuminating only the hands and markers, the carbon itself becomes part of the luminous display, giving the watch a distinctive nighttime appearance.
Practical Display for Everyday Travel
The dial layout prioritises legibility and functionality. Applied hour markers combine square, triangular and rectangular shapes borrowed from the Raven Trekker, while a date window at 6 o’clock maintains symmetry. The display is completed by central hour, minute and seconds hands, accompanied by a bright red GMT hand that provides a welcome contrast against the otherwise monochromatic design.

Miyota 9075 True GMT Inside
Powering the watch is the well-regarded Miyota Calibre 9075, an automatic true GMT movement with a 42-hour power reserve. Unlike office GMT movements, the 9075 allows the local hour hand to be adjusted independently in one-hour increments, making it especially convenient for travellers crossing time zones. The movement is protected by a solid caseback engraved with the TrailTrekker collection’s signature caravan motif.
Despite its travel-oriented complications, the TrailTrekker Carbon remains a capable everyday tool watch thanks to its 200-metre water resistance, making it equally suited to outdoor adventures and daily wear.
Bracelet and Strap Options
The watch is delivered with a stainless steel bracelet featuring flat links and the same black DLC finish as the case, maintaining the watch’s monochromatic appearance. For those who prefer a sportier configuration, Nodus also includes a black FKM rubber strap, offering improved comfort, flexibility and durability while making it easy to adapt the watch to different activities and environments.
