Noah x Timex MK1 Anchor: A New Direction For The Collaboration

Noah and Timex have unveiled the latest chapter in their ongoing collaboration, but this time the two brands are taking a noticeably different direction. The Noah x Timex MK1 Anchor moves away from the refined, classic designs of the partnership’s recent releases and returns to the utilitarian foundations of the Timex MK1 field watch.

The 36mm model receives an off-white dial, nautical-inspired details and a distinctive red anchor at the small-seconds display, creating a more casual and sporty interpretation of the collaboration.

A Departure from the Previous Collaborations

The new MK1 Anchor breaks from the design language established by the partnership’s last three releases.

The sequence began in 2024 with the Timex x Noah Sun And Moon Watch, featuring a rectangular case inspired by the Cartier Tank and quickly selling out. In 2025, Noah and Timex continued with two oval-shaped watches inspired by the Patek Philippe Ellipse: the Noah x Timex Lighthouse Watch, followed by the Noah x Timex Oval Moon Phase Watch.

Those models established a sophisticated, vintage-inspired identity for the collaboration. The MK1 Anchor interrupts that progression, returning to a traditional field-watch platform and taking the partnership into more casual territory.

A 36mm Field Watch

The stainless-steel case measures 36 mm in diameter, 42.90 mm lug-to-lug and 9.50 mm thick, giving the watch compact and versatile proportions.

Its military-style MK1 dial has been replaced by an ivory dial, with the Timex logo and Noah wordmark below 12 o’clock. A printed minute track with luminous pips surrounds the dial.

The hour markers combine Breguet-style numerals on the even positions with applied spear-shaped markers on the odd positions, matching the shape of the dauphine hands.

At 6 o’clock, the small-seconds register introduces the watch’s defining detail: a red anchor surrounded by a black railroad-style seconds track. The nautical motif is repeated on the solid steel caseback alongside the Noah logo.

Two Nylon Straps

The watch comes with two double-layer woven nylon straps equipped with quick-release spring bars.

One features red and navy stripes, matching the anchor on the dial, while the second is finished entirely in navy for a more understated look.

Acrylic Crystal and Quartz Movement

An acrylic crystal protects the dial, complementing the field-watch aesthetic, while a quartz movement provides the straightforward reliability expected from an everyday watch.

The solid steel caseback is engraved with Noah branding and an anchor, completing the nautical theme.

Now Also Available Through Timex

Unlike the previous editions, which were sold exclusively through the Noah online store, the MK1 Anchor is also available directly through Timex.

The watch is now available and is priced at USD 248.

Our Take

After the three previous Noah x Timex watches, I have to admit that the MK1 Anchor was not quite what I expected.

The Sun And Moon Watch, Lighthouse Watch and Oval Moon Phase Watch established what I considered a particularly successful formula, combining classic case shapes with refined, vintage-inspired aesthetics. After those three beautiful models, I was hoping the collaboration would continue in a similar direction.

I have nothing against field watches. In fact, I appreciate their simplicity, functionality and military heritage, and the 36mm MK1 is an appealing platform.

My main reservation is the red anchor. While the nautical theme makes sense conceptually, the anchor feels somewhat excessive and out of context with the otherwise restrained dial. It immediately becomes the focal point, and I wonder if a subtler interpretation would have worked better.

It seems I am not alone in that reaction, with the anchor already attracting discussion and mixed opinions around the release.

The underlying watch, however, is well considered. The compact proportions, off-white dial, mixed-style markers and two interchangeable nylon straps give it plenty of character and versatility.

Ultimately, the MK1 Anchor feels like a deliberate attempt to shake up the collaboration. For those who enjoy field watches and Noah’s more playful design language, it may be an appealing proposition. Personally, though, after the elegant direction of the previous three releases, I would have preferred to see that classic aesthetic continue for at least one more watch.
