Nivada Grenchen Revamps Chronomaster Singer Paul Newman With Multi-Function Interchangeable Bezels
Nivada Grenchen has reintroduced the Chronomaster Singer Paul Newman, a 70s-inspired racing chronograph now enhanced with five interchangeable bezels. This new version, with its Panda dial designed by Singer, follows the 2021 limited edition featuring the Valjoux 23 movement. Now, it offers even more versatility with bezels in different colours and functions.
Three of the bezels feature a 60-minute dive scale in red, green, or black, while the fourth bezel has a blue tachymeter scale for measuring speed. The fifth option in black and red includes a 24-hour scale with various cities, enabling it to function as a second-time zone. Despite the redesigned bezel, the stainless steel case retains its compact 38mm diameter, 13.75mm thickness, and 46.50mm length, making it suitable for a variety of wrist sizes. The case is mainly brushed, featuring drilled lugs, a bidirectional interchangeable bezel, sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock flanked by pump-style pushers, and water resistance up to 100 meters.
The white dial of the Chronomaster Singer Paul Newman features two black subdials with a snailed pattern at 3 and 9 o’clock, displaying a 30-minute counter and running seconds. Other details include applied hour markers and hands filled with Super-LumiNova, a slim black tachymeter bezel, a red chronograph seconds hand, and signature inscriptions at noon and 6 o’clock.
At the heart of the watch is the Landeron 70 hand-wound movement, offering up to 43 hours of power reserve. This interchangeable bezel system is also available on the Chronomaster Broad Arrow and Chronoking models.
The Chronomaster Singer Paul Newman comes with a variety of strap options, including a rally-style perforated leather strap, a rubber strap, or a steel bracelet, with prices starting at €1,770.
