Nivada Grenchen Launches New Chronoking In Striking Salmon Hue
Nivada Grenchen continues its journey of bringing back iconic watches that made its history, which began in 2018 when the brand was acquired by Guillaume Laidet.
Last year, it presented the revival of Chronoking supported by a Mecaquartz movement that combines the accuracy of quartz and mechanical reliability through a separate module that operates the chronograph function.

The latest Nivada Grenchen Chronoking wears a round stainless steel case with dimensions of 38mm in diameter and 13.70mm in thickness that comes with a brushed and polished finish, straight drilled lugs, unidirectional bezel with black aluminium insert, double sapphire crystal, fluted crown with the brand’s signature at 3 o’clock flanked by two pushers, screwed solid case back and 100m waterproof.
The sunburst rose dial features a Tri-compax layout with a 24-hour counter, a running seconds and a 60-minute register at 3-6-9 o’clock respectively that comes with a snailed background. Applied hour markers and hands filled with white Super-LumiNova, a black printed tachymeter scale combining with brand’s inscriptions at noon and a chronograph centre seconds hand.
Inside we find the TMI VK63A hybrid mechanical quartz movement that operates at 32.768 Hz and whose battery has a useful life of approximately 3 years.
The timepiece, which can be attached to 13 different strap options including a leather “rally” strap or a beads-of-rice steel bracelet, will only be available during the three-week pre-order period that starts today and runs until July 4th, for the price of € 437.95.
