New Zenith Defy Skyline In White Ceramic With A Blue Openworked Dial
After seeing the Zenith Defy Skyline Black Ceramic Skeleton arrive last year, it is now the turn of the white version that does not follow the monochromatic scheme of its predecessor, opting instead for a dial in shades of blue.
The Defy Skyline collection, which falls into the category of sport chic watches with an integrated bracelet, despite still enjoying a short existence with just over two years, already has several models in different sizes, materials and complications.
The new watch comes in the distinctive octagonal case with a 12-sided bezel, which here comes in white ceramic with dimensions of 41mm wide by 11.60mm high that offers strong resistance to scratches, sapphire crystal on both sides, crown at 3 o’clock and 100m water resistance.
The openworked dial features blue-coated star-shaped bridges that hold a 1/10th second subdial at 6 o’clock, two luminescent central hands and a minute rehaut upon which rest faceted hour markers that just like the hands come filled with Super-LumiNova. Finally, the Star brand’s logo appears suspended at noon over the brand’s white lettering.
The new Defy Skyline is powered by the high-speed (5 Hz) El Primero 3620 automatic movement that presents a silicone escapement and offers up to 55 hours of power reserve, which like the dial receives a blue treatment on the bridges and the brand’s five-pointed star-shaped rotor.
In addition to the all-white ceramic bracelet with a folding clasp, the set also includes a white rubber strap.
Despite joining the permanent collection, the watch will be available in small quantities (according to the brand) in the brand’s official boutiques and some selected retailers for a price of CHF 16,900 plus tax.
