H. Moser & Cie. expands the creative reach of its Concept line with a captivating new release: the Streamliner Perpetual Moon Concept Meteorite. The brand has long used this collection to introduce unusual materials and minimalist design approaches, and this latest model continues that tradition by incorporating meteorite for the first time within the Streamliner series. It also marks an important technical milestone, becoming the first automatic Perpetual Moon watch ever produced by the brand.

A Streamliner Case With Retro-Futuristic Flair

The watch features the distinctive Streamliner case, a design that has already become a recognizable part of contemporary independent watchmaking. Its 40 mm stainless steel cushion-shaped silhouette blends soft curves with crisp geometry, creating a style that feels simultaneously vintage and modern. The seamless bracelet, composed of fluid, articulated links, contributes to the watch’s exceptional comfort and adds to its cohesive industrial aesthetic.

Despite its sculptural presence, the watch remains balanced on the wrist. With a thickness of 13.20 mm, it offers enough substance to feel solid without crossing into oversized territory, preserving the functional-elegant identity that defines the Streamliner line.

A Dial Born From Space

The highlight of this edition is its meteorite dial, crafted from the Gibeon meteorite, which is estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old. This rare material is no longer exportable from Namibia due to government protection measures, making any remaining pieces highly prized in watchmaking. The meteorite’s natural Widmanstätten pattern creates a complex network of crystalline lines across the surface, giving the dial its unique character.

To enhance the visual depth of the meteorite, H. Moser & Cie. applies a rose-gold fumé finish. This warm gradient harmonizes with the rose-gold hour and minute hands, producing a cohesive and refined look. In keeping with the Concept series philosophy, the dial features no logo, markers, or additional decoration, allowing the meteorite itself to take center stage.

A Clean and Contemporary Moonphase

Positioned at 6 o’clock, the moonphase display echoes the minimalist aesthetic of the dial. The brand avoids using star-studded backgrounds or aventurine, opting instead for a clean and contemporary presentation that emphasizes legibility.

This display is powered by the HMC 270 calibre, a movement renowned for its exceptional precision. The moonphase mechanism is accurate enough to deviate by only one day in 1,027 years, making it effectively maintenance-free for generations as long as the watch remains running. The case includes a discreet pusher on the side, allowing the wearer to make quick adjustments when needed without disrupting the overall design.

The First Automatic Perpetual Moon From Moser

The movement inside this new release marks an important evolution for the brand. The HMC 270 is an automatic calibre featuring a central rotor, making this the first time H. Moser & Cie. has equipped a Perpetual Moon model with self-winding capability. Previous iterations of the complication within the brand were all manually wound.

The movement offers a three-day power reserve, ensuring reliable performance during daily wear. Its automatic winding system also makes long-term accuracy easier to maintain, especially for a complication as precise as the moonphase, since the watch can be kept running continuously on a winder when not worn. The finishing of the movement, visible through the sapphire caseback, reflects the refined craftsmanship typical of H. Moser & Cie.
