Moritz Grossmann Tremblage Green: Masterful Engraving In Motion
Moritz Grossmann introduces a fresh iteration of its Tremblage model, this time adorned with a striking green dial that enhances the already exceptional craftsmanship of this timepiece. Rooted in Glashütte’s storied horological legacy, the Tremblage Green brings together historical decorative techniques and high-precision mechanical engineering in a design that’s as tactile as it is refined.

A Dial Brought to Life by Hand
At the heart of the Tremblage Green lies its most defining element: the textured dial. Crafted from German silver, the dial surface is hand-engraved using the tremblage technique, an age-old craft that involves creating micro-patterns through careful, repetitive incisions using burins. This results in a matte, grainy texture that reacts subtly to changing light. The vibrant green tone chosen for this edition calls to mind the deep, tranquil hues of the German woodlands.

Unlike conventional dials where elements like numerals and logo are applied, the Tremblage dial preserves its typography and scales in relief, requiring the engraver to work around these raised features with exceptional control and precision.
Exceptional Casework and Ergonomics
Housed in either 18k white or rose gold, the Tremblage Green measures 41 mm in diameter and maintains a slim profile at 11.35 mm. Its clean case lines complement the artisanal dial without drawing attention away from it. Functionality is enhanced by the brand’s proprietary time-setting mechanism: a manual-winding crown that, when pulled, returns to its original position to engage the hacking seconds. A separate pusher at 4 o’clock activates the movement again. This not only ensures precise time setting but also minimizes wear on the mechanism and protects the movement from dust intrusion.

Calibre 100.1: Precision in Architecture
Inside the case ticks Moritz Grossmann’s In-house calibre 100.1, a hand-wound movement operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour. It features the traditional Glashütte 2/3 plate construction made from untreated German silver, adorned with hand-engraving and polished bevels. The movement’s architecture is inspired by 19th-century German watchmaking, highlighted by components such as the hand-engraved balance cock and white sapphires set in gold chatons. A Grossmann-designed balance wheel is held in place by the distinctive cock, and the movement offers a power reserve of 42 hours.

Every detail—from the ratchet wheel with snailing to the mirror-polished screws—is crafted and finished in-house, reflecting the brand’s commitment to excellence in mechanical artistry.
Exclusivity and Price
The Tremblage Green is strictly limited to just eight pieces in each case metal, emphasizing its exclusivity and artisanal value. It is presented on a hand-stitched dark brown alligator leather strap, fitted with a solid gold pin buckle that matches the case. The white gold version is available for € 55,200 and the rose gold version for € 56,700.
