Montblanc Presents The New Unveiled Secret Minerva Aged Steel
After the 2022 limited editions in Lime gold and stainless steel of 18 and 58 pieces, the Montblanc Minerva monopusher chronograph returns in a new limited edition of 88 pieces now in aged steel.
The watch comes in a 43mm round steel case with a black patina finish obtained through a process that involves manual washing and brushing with Montblanc Quartzite and mountain limestone in a “V” shape as it is in front of the Villeret Manufacturing.
The exclusive watch also comes with a fluted bezel in white gold inspired by the first bezel of that shape that equipped a Minerva from 1927.
For the first time, it features an openworked dial that reveals its manual Caliber MB M16.29, which in a humorous move by the Maison is identified as M16.26 since the “9” is turned upside down.
The dial features parts in sandblasted German silver, anthracite rhodium bridges and Maison’s coquille diamantage motif in a snail. Adorned with applied hour markers and the Arabic numeral twelve all filled with Super-LumiNova, just like the centre cathedral hands, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small second at 9.
The 273-part MB M16.29 manual movement operates at 18,000 Vph and offers up to 50 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes attached to a black crocodile leather strap with white stitching and a folding clasp matching the case, which can now be purchased for USD 39,500.
