Montblanc Pays Tribute To Maria Callas
The Montblanc Muses Maria Callas Special Edition pen is a tribute to one of the most celebrated sopranos of the 20th century – Maria Callas. She was known not only for her incredible talent but also for her unique style and personality. Her charisma and passion made her an icon in the world of opera. She performed in some of the most prestigious opera houses around the world, including La Scala in Milan, the Paris Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, earning her the title “La Divina” or “the divine one”.
This special edition Montblanc pen draws inspiration from Maria Callas’s preferences, particularly her love for the colour turquoise. The pen is crafted using precious resin in a captivating turquoise shade for both the cap and barrel, which perfectly captures the graceful beauty of Maria Callas in its slender and refined silhouette.
In honour of her Greek heritage and her homeland surrounded by the sea, the pen’s platinum-coated clip is adorned with a stone that resembles the turquoise blue of the Aegean Sea, making a connection to Maria Callas’s roots.
The design of the pen incorporates a costume detail from one of Maria Callas’s most recognizable Bel Canto roles, Bellini’s “Norma”. The pattern of laurel leaves encircles the platinum-coated cone of the pen, which further accentuates the connection to her celebrated career. The pen is topped off with the embossed signature of the renowned soprano.
The pen is available in ballpoint or rollerball and can be purchased for €860 and €930 respectively.
