Montblanc Marks 100 Years Of Meisterstück With Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph LE

Montblanc continues to celebrate 100 years of the Meisterstück pen and is now presenting a limited edition of the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph to mark the occasion.

The watch that resembles the famous pens comes in a stainless steel case with a black dial and strap and various writing and gold details.

It has a round steel case measuring 43 mm in diameter and 15.01 mm thick with a polished and brushed finish, smooth bezel, domed sapphire glass, fluted ball-shaped crown with the brand’s logo at 3 o’clock, a rectangular mono-pusher at 8 o’clock that handles the chronograph function and open back case.

The black dial is adorned with a luminescent 1920s writing instrument scheme background that lights up blue in the dark, featuring an off-centre dial at noon that mimics the Montblanc emblem dimension charts found on the pen caps and the watch’s crown, rose gold Dauphine hands and Arabic numerals, two rotating registers connected by a rose gold longangle-shaped bridge that also works as a 30-minute and 60-second pointer at 4 and 8 o’clock that come with the references “48” and “10” (the height of Mont Blanc) and which are also a symbol on Meisterstück pens, and finally, a date window at 6 o’clock.

It is through the sapphire crystal case back that we can observe the In-house automatic movement MB R200 with 319 components decorated with Côtes de Genève and an oscillating mass engraved with the golden calligraphy movements in the shape of an “8”—operating 28,800 Vph and offering up to 3 days of power reserve thanks to its two barrels.

The timepiece is attached to a black calfskin strap with a crocodile pattern and a steel triple folding clasp and is limited to 500 pieces.
