Micromilspec Fieldmaster: A Modern Field Watch Built For Demanding Environments
Field watches have traditionally been defined by simplicity, compact proportions and a strong connection to military timekeeping. The new Micromilspec Fieldmaster takes that familiar foundation in a different direction, combining a contemporary 40 mm titanium case with a long-running automatic movement, substantial magnetic resistance and a 200-metre water-resistance rating.

Developed by the Norwegian tool watch brand Micromilspec, the Fieldmaster is designed around the practical requirements of modern military use. Its specifications reflect four central priorities: clear reading of the time, protection against magnetic interference, extended autonomy and reduced weight.
A dial designed around legibility
The Fieldmaster’s 40 mm case provides a larger platform for its display, while the dial layout is intended to keep the essential information immediately accessible.

Oversized hour and minute hands are paired with prominent indices made from Lumicast, solid ceramic blocks incorporating Super-LumiNova for nighttime visibility. A running seconds is positioned at 6 o’clock, while the brand’s usual date window, indicating 3 days, is located near the crown at 3 o’clock.
The dial also features a matte, grained surface designed to reduce reflections. This is complemented by an anti-reflective coating on the sapphire crystal, helping maintain readability in changing light conditions.
A movement with 100 hours of autonomy
At the heart of the Fieldmaster is the Horage Calibre K3 automatic movement. The Swiss calibre provides a power reserve of approximately 100 hours, allowing the watch to continue running for more than four days when fully wound.

The movement is also equipped with an amagnetic silicon escapement and hairspring. According to Micromilspec, this construction enables resistance to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss, a level intended to protect the watch from the interference associated with demanding equipment and environments.
Through the sapphire caseback, the movement’s power-reserve indicator can be viewed from the rear of the watch, providing a practical indication of how much autonomy remains.
Titanium construction and 200-metre water resistance
The Fieldmaster uses Grade 5 titanium for its case, a material chosen for its combination of low weight and mechanical strength. At 40 mm in diameter and 11.20 mm thick, the watch is designed to remain manageable on the wrist without sacrificing its technical specifications.

Water resistance is rated at 200 metres, giving the Fieldmaster a level of protection more commonly associated with sports and dive watches than with traditional field watches.
The case is available in two finishes: a plain sandblasted version and a black Gunpowder DLC treatment. Both retain the same utilitarian design language, with the choice of finish providing a different visual character.
Integrated bracelet or rubber strap
Micromilspec offers the Fieldmaster with a matching integrated titanium bracelet or an integrated textured rubber strap. The rubber option is available in black, orange, white and sand, allowing the watch to be configured for different preferences and environments.

The integrated approach keeps the strap or bracelet visually connected to the case, while the titanium construction helps maintain the focus on lightweight wearability.
A field watch for contemporary requirements
The Micromilspec Fieldmaster combines the recognisable functional priorities of a field watch with specifications aimed at modern operational use. Its large luminous display, 100-hour power reserve, 15,000-gauss magnetic resistance and 200-metre water resistance place it firmly in the category of contemporary tool watches.
With its titanium construction and choice of bracelet or rubber strap, the Fieldmaster is designed to offer a practical balance between durability, autonomy and everyday wearability.
The Micromilspec Fieldmaster is available directly from the brand, with prices starting at USD 2,995 on rubber and USD 3,650 on the titanium bracelet.
