Ressence has introduced its latest innovation, the Ressence Type 9, a watch that marks a significant milestone for the brand with its smallest case to date. This new release comes in two striking variants—light grey and blue, offering a sleek 39mm Grade 5 Titanium case. With its refined design and minimalist time functions, the Ressence Type 9 redefines elegance while maintaining the brand’s hallmark innovation.
A streamlined version of the 43mm Type 8, the Type 9 stands out with its polished titanium case, measuring 39mm in diameter and 11mm in height. This polished finish adds a sophisticated touch, contrasting the previously matte aesthetics. The fixed bezel incorporates a minute track, replacing the traditional outer ring seen on earlier models. Fluid lugs further enhance the contemporary look, deviating from the futuristic-retro style of Ressence’s earlier designs. The watch’s signature groove case back serves as both the crown and winding mechanism, maintaining the brand’s commitment to functional minimalism.
The dial of the Ressence Type 9 comes alive with a choice of light gray or a blue that leans towards turquoise. It features a large, dynamic hand for the minutes, rotating alongside an hour sub-dial framed with Arabic numerals at three and nine o’clock. The subtle inclusion of the Ressence logo adds a refined detail to the otherwise clean and modern dial layout.
Powering the Type 9 is a customized ETA 2892-2 automatic movement paired with the ROCS 9 module. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it delivers a power reserve of up to 36 hours, ensuring reliability and precision synonymous with Ressence.
The light grey version of the Ressence Type 9 is available this month, paired with a matching synthetic textile strap and an Ardillon buckle. The blue variant, scheduled for release in February of next year, comes with a light grey leather strap featuring the same hardware.
