Mechanical Refinement Meets Dial Diversity In The New Orient Bambino
For more than a decade, the Orient Bambino has remained one of the most accessible gateways into classical mechanical watchmaking. Recognised for its domed crystal, balanced case proportions and in-house automatic calibres, the collection continues to expand while preserving its traditional dress-watch character. The latest update introduces a mechanical 38mm no-date version and a broadened 40.5mm range with new dial executions, including the first Bambino models to feature Eastern Arabic numerals.
38mm Automatic No-Date – Mechanical Evolution
Although some reports have described this as the first no-date Bambino, the distinction technically belongs to the 38 mm solar-powered models released in May 2025. The true novelty here is that the no-date configuration is now combined with an automatic in-house movement, aligning it more closely with the mechanical identity enthusiasts expect from the collection.

The stainless steel case measures 38.40 mm in diameter and 12.5mm in thickness. Slender, gently curved lugs and the signature domed crystal maintain the refined, slightly vintage-inspired profile associated with the Bambino name. The dial layout retains the familiar combination of Roman numerals and baton markers, and without a date aperture, the display achieves greater symmetry and visual balance.
Dial options include white, ivory, green and brown, alongside a grey limited edition restricted to 3,300 pieces. Depending on the reference, the hands are executed in either blue or gold tone, matched carefully to the dial colour.

Through the exhibition caseback, the in-house Calibre F6524 is visible. This automatic movement features hacking seconds and delivers approximately 40 hours of power reserve, offering reliable daily performance in a compact mechanical package.
40.5mm Bambino Date – Expanded Dial Variations
Alongside the 38 mm release, Orient updates the larger 40.5mm Bambino Date models. These watches retain the date display at 3 o’clock and are powered by the in-house Calibre F6724 automatic movement, which includes hacking seconds and is designed for durability and ease of servicing.

The standard dial configuration features baton hour markers and now expands its colour palette to include white and ivory, as well as gradient executions in green, light blue and purple. The gradient dials introduce a more contemporary aesthetic while maintaining the collection’s dress-oriented positioning.

Eastern Arabic Numeral Variants
Within the same 40.50 mm platform, Orient also introduces five new references distinguished by the use of Eastern Arabic numerals, marking a first for the Bambino collection.

These models share the same case dimensions, date window and Calibre F6724 movement as the baton-marker versions. The dial options include green, blue, burgundy, white and ivory. The green and white versions feature gilt accents, adding warmth and vintage character, while the ivory model is paired with blue hands for a more traditional contrast.

The introduction of Eastern Arabic numerals broadens the stylistic range of the Bambino without altering its technical foundation, offering an alternative visual identity within the established 40.5mm format.
Straps, Specifications and Pricing
All new Bambino models are delivered on leather straps equipped with a quick-release system for tool-free changes. Water resistance remains rated at 30 metres, consistent with the collection’s dress-watch focus.
Pricing continues to reinforce the Bambino’s strong value proposition. Stainless steel versions are priced at € 340, while the gold-tone variant comes in at € 370. With automatic in-house movements, expanded dial configurations and the addition of Eastern Arabic numerals within the 40.5mm range, the latest releases further strengthen the versatility of this long-standing collection.
