MB&F LM Perpetual And Sequential Flyback “Longhorns”: 20th Anniversary Editions
MB&F celebrates its 20th anniversary with the release of two stunning limited-edition timepieces: the Legacy Machine (LM) Perpetual and the LM Sequential Flyback. These remarkable watches highlight the brand’s innovative spirit, blending intricate craftsmanship with bold design, making them highly sought after among watch enthusiasts and collectors.
Both models feature a polished stainless steel case, measuring an impressive 44mm in diameter. The Legacy Machine Perpetual stands 17.50mm thick, while the LM Sequential Flyback is slightly taller at 18.20mm. Each watch is equipped with sapphire crystal on both sides, a smooth bezel, and the signature “longhorn” lugs that trace their origins back to the inaugural LM release in 2009. Enhancing their functionality, the watches are fitted with a fluted crown at 3 o’clock and block-shaped pushers, with the Sequential Flyback featuring three additional pushers on the left side. A water resistance rating of 30 meters adds practicality to these luxury timepieces.
The openworked dials are a visual masterpiece, combining a rhodium-plated base with black enamel sub-dials and blued hands for a striking aesthetic. The LM Perpetual showcases an off-center dial at 12 o’clock with Arabic numerals and hands for hours and minutes. It incorporates additional registers for the day of the week, months, and date at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, respectively, along with power reserve and leap year indicators positioned at 4:30 and 7:30. The LM Sequential Flyback adopts a symmetrical layout, placing its off-center dial at 6 o’clock. This model stands out with its dual independent chronographs, featuring 30-second and 60-minute counters at 1 and 3 o’clock on the right side and a mirrored arrangement at 11 and 9 o’clock on the left.
Powering these timepieces are in-house, three-dimensional, hand-wound movements that exemplify MB&F’s mechanical ingenuity. The LM Perpetual operates at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, while the LM Sequential Flyback runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Both movements provide a robust power reserve of up to three days, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability.
Paired with beige calf leather straps and secured by a stainless steel folding clasp, these watches exude both sophistication and comfort. Limited to just 20 pieces each, the Legacy Machine Perpetual and LM Sequential Flyback are priced at CHF 168,000 plus VAT, offering exclusivity and unparalleled craftsmanship to celebrate two decades of MB&F’s groundbreaking horological achievements.
