Maurice De Mauriac Unveils Wimbledon-Inspired Rallymaster III
Maurice de Mauriac again highlights his connection to the tennis sports world with a new limited edition Rallymaster. After dedicating the Rallymaster to Roland Garros in 2022, and the Rallymaster II to the US Open in 2023, this year the Rallymaster III arrives at Wimbledon.
Like the previous editions, the watch designed by Carlton DeWoody features the same layout, differing only in colours and details.
And if on Rallymaster I and Rallymaster II, the dials were pink and blue in a clear allusion to the tone of the courts in those tournaments, the Rallymaster could only come in green, paying homage to the green courts of the biggest tennis tournament in London.
The olive green dial once again has as its main feature the tennis court net drawn in white across its entire width, adorned by 18k gold applied round hour markers and pencil hands all filled with luminescent material, a tan concave chapter ring, a date window at 3 o’clock and a tri-colour small seconds at 9 that here comes in pink, tan and khaki tones.
On the outside, the usual 39mm by 12mm round stainless steel case that features a brushed finish, stepped bezel, drilled lugs, sapphire crystal with magnifying for the date, 18k gold crown with the brand’s signature, screwed sapphire case back with a racket motif and 100m water resistance.
Inside we again find the 25-jewel Landeron 24 automatic movement, which runs 28,800 Vph and offers up to 40 hours of power reserve.
The watch is presented in a tan calf leather strap plus an additional one in fabric, the set also includes a pink tennis ball with the watch’s name.
This is a limited edition of 100 pieces that can now be purchased for the price of CHF 2,200.
