Maurice De Mauriac Presents The New Pillow Watch
Bold could well be the name of Maurice De Mauriac’s latest creation, as the new Pillow Watch will hardly go unnoticed on your wrist.
The new watch, despite its dimensions, has a minimalist layout and this is visible both on the outside and on the inside with the dial designed by Fabian Schwaerzler.
The watch comes dressed in a 45mm wide curved cushion-shaped case in three different materials (variants), one in titanium, another in titanium with a DLC coated and finally one in bronze. The design, as already mentioned, is minimalist, featuring sapphire glass, fluted crown at 3 o’clock, screwed case back and 100m water resistance.
On the dial, the minimalist formula of the case is repeated, presenting an anthracite dial, with applied hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova, the same that we can also find on the two centre hands and which glow blue in the dark, finally, the small inscriptions of the lettering brand at noon and “Automatic” referring to the movement at 6 o’clock and at the bottom we can still dazzle the usual “Swiss Made”.
Inside, it is equipped with a 24-jewel La Joux-Perret automatic movement that operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 68 hours of power reserve that can be seen through the rear glass.
The watches come attached to a calf leather strap matching the case and are priced at CHF 3,900 for the plain titanium version and CHF 4,900 for the DLC titanium and bronze versions.
