Maurice De Mauriac Presents The Final Chapter Of The Rallymaster
Maurice de Mauriac continues its collaboration with Racquet magazine and designer Carlton DeWoody with the release of the Rallymaster IV, the latest and final chapter in the brand’s tennis-inspired Rallymaster series. Timed to coincide with the Australian Open, this limited edition introduces a notably different visual direction while retaining the core specifications that defined earlier Rallymaster models.

Case and Construction
The Rallymaster IV is housed in a 39 mm stainless steel case, maintaining the same dimensions of previous iterations. It measures 47 mm lug-to-lug with a 12 mm thickness, proportions that suit both daily wear and active use. For this edition, the case is finished with a matte black PVD coating, giving the watch a stealthier appearance compared to the lighter tones of earlier Rallymasters.

The case is paired with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown, contributing to a 100-meter water resistance rating. A notable functional detail is the inclusion of a date magnifier integrated into the sapphire crystal, a feature that improves legibility while adding a distinctive design element.
Dial Design and Legibility
The dial retains the Rallymaster’s signature layout, most notably the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock, but introduces a far more high-contrast color palette. Set against a dark background that visually blends with the black case, the dial features neon pink and blue accents, applied primarily to the segmented small seconds display.

These colors reference tennis court lighting and night matches, while also creating strong visual separation between dial elements. Hour markers, hands, and graphic outlines are rendered in a restrained monochrome style to preserve clarity. For low-light conditions, the dial’s linework is treated with blue Super-LumiNova, ensuring consistent legibility after dark.
Movement and Caseback
Powering the Rallymaster IV is the Swiss automatic movement Landeron 24. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.

The movement is visible through a smoked sapphire exhibition caseback, decorated with tennis-themed graphics. A central tennis ball motif is surrounded by a racquet pattern, both rendered in the same neon tones found on the dial. The date wheel is color-matched in black with white numerals for visual consistency.
Straps and Accessories
The Rallymaster IV is delivered with two interchangeable straps, both equipped with a quick-release system. The first is a black leather strap with ventilation holes, designed for everyday wear. The second option is a black stretch-fabric strap, intended for more active use and accented by a subtle luminescent stripe that echoes the dial’s nighttime theme.

Continuing the tradition of previous editions, the watch is accompanied by a limited-edition branded tennis ball, finished in black to match the overall aesthetic of the Rallymaster IV.
