Massena LAB And Raúl Pagès Unveil Their Third Collaboration, The Noctograph
In their latest collaborative project, independent watchmaker Raúl Pagès and New York-based Massena LAB unveil the Noctograph, a 99-piece limited edition timepiece that marries mid-century design cues with contemporary mechanical artistry. This marks the third partnership between the two names, following the success of the Magraph and Absinthe editions.

A Dial Rooted in Heritage, Executed with Precision
The Noctograph’s dial is a study in depth and texture. It features a vertically brushed dark blue surface that offers a subtle play of light, enhanced by a raised rhodium-plated chapter ring with an equally brushed finish. This two-layer construction provides visual complexity, while the minute track—printed in matching blue—maintains a cohesive and restrained aesthetic.

At six o’clock, a circular subdial houses the small seconds, outlined by a metallic ring and detailed with a sector-style track. A heat-blued seconds hand adds a discreet pop of color and craftsmanship. The “Massena” name is delicately engraved near the subdial, referencing the signature placement often seen in Pagès’ own creations. Polished feuille (leaf-shaped) hands for the hours and minutes complete the display with classic elegance.
Case Dimensions and Wearability
The stainless steel case measures 38.50 mm in diameter and just 10 mm thick, striking a balance between vintage proportions and modern comfort. Its concave bezel and polished finish reinforce the retro influence while offering a refined presence on the wrist. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, and a sapphire display caseback reveals the mechanical artistry within.
Movement: The M660 Caliber by Pagès
Inside the Noctograph beats the M660 caliber, a proprietary hand-wound movement developed exclusively for Massena LAB by Raúl Pagès. Although inspired in part by the gear train of the Valjoux 7750, the M660 is a fully independent creation in terms of design and architecture. It features a large crown wheel and ratchet system, showcasing traditional watchmaking mechanisms often reserved for high-end independents.

The movement is adorned with wide Geneva stripes on the main plate, and all bridges are finished with meticulous hand-applied anglage. Multiple interior and exterior angles highlight the level of care typically absent in watches at this price point. While the components are industrially produced, the hand-finishing is carried out by skilled artisans in the Vallée de Joux—reflecting a decentralized approach to traditional Swiss watchmaking.
Limited, Accessible, and Purposefully Crafted
With only 99 units available, the Noctograph offers collectors a rare opportunity to own a piece of independent horology for USD 8,875. The watch delivers a combination of thoughtful aesthetics, traditional mechanical finishing, and well-executed design, guided by Pagès’ vision and Massena LAB’s collaborative approach.

The Noctograph is available exclusively through Massena LAB, appealing to enthusiasts who value both heritage and innovation in contemporary watchmaking.
