Maen Strengthens The Hudson Collection With The New 38 GMT MKII
Swedish watchmaker Maen continues to expand its catalog with the introduction of the Hudson 38 GMT MKII, a compact sports watch that combines dive-watch capability with practical GMT functionality. Building on the success of previous Hudson models, the latest iteration refines the formula with updated details, improved finishing, and a more versatile bracelet system.
The new release stays true to the brand’s Scandinavian design language while delivering specifications that place it among the most compelling GMT watches in its segment.
Compact Stainless Steel Case With Vintage Character
The Hudson 38 GMT MKII comes housed in a stainless steel case measuring 38 mm in diameter, 13.10 mm in thickness including the crystal, and 47 mm lug-to-lug. Its proportions are aimed at providing a comfortable fit across a wide range of wrist sizes while maintaining the sporty presence expected from a modern tool watch.

One of the defining visual elements is the prominent box-domed sapphire crystal, which adds a vintage-inspired aesthetic reminiscent of classic dive watches. Despite the elevated crystal profile, the slimmer mid-case and refined bezel construction help the watch maintain balanced proportions on the wrist.
The exterior finishing combines brushed and polished surfaces, while drilled lug holes reinforce the practical tool-watch character and make strap changes easier.
300m Water Resistance And GMT Functionality
Beyond its travel-oriented GMT complication, the Hudson 38 GMT MKII also delivers serious dive-watch credentials with 300 meters of water resistance. The watch features a screw-down crown and solid screw-down caseback to ensure durability and reliability.

The bidirectional 60-click bezel features a 24-hour scale with gilt markings and a luminous triangle marker at 12 o’clock. Maen now adds a lume pip to the bezel, one of the most requested updates from earlier Hudson GMT generations.
Buyers can choose between two bezel configurations. One pairs brown and black tones for a warmer vintage-inspired appearance, while the second combines blue and black hues for a more understated and contemporary look. The rotating bezel can also be used together with the dial’s internal 24-hour scale to track a third timezone.
Textured Dial With Strong Legibility
The watch features a textured black dial paired with printed hour markers filled with beige Super-LumiNova X1 for enhanced nighttime visibility. The layout remains symmetrical thanks to the framed date window positioned at 6 o’clock and the double marker at 12.

Large baton-style hour and minute hands maximize readability, while the central seconds hand includes a luminous tip. The GMT hand is distinguished by an arrow-shaped tip finished in either blue or brown, matching the bezel configuration selected.
A discreet 24-hour scale integrated into the flange allows the wearer to monitor an additional timezone when used alongside the rotating bezel.
Powered By The Sellita SW330-2
Inside the Hudson 38 GMT MKII is the Sellita SW330-2 automatic movement in Elaboré grade. The caller-style GMT calibre operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers approximately 56 hours of power reserve.

The movement allows independent adjustment of the GMT hand, making it practical for tracking a second timezone during travel or daily use.
Updated Bracelet With On-The-Fly Adjustment
Maen also upgrades the bracelet system on the new Hudson GMT. The five-link bracelet combines brushed and polished finishing for a more refined appearance while maintaining flexibility and comfort on the wrist.

Practicality is further improved through quick-release spring bars and an on-the-fly micro-adjustment clasp system, a feature still relatively uncommon in this price category.
In addition to the five-link bracelet, the watch will also be available with a Jubilee-style bracelet and FKM rubber strap, offering different styling and wearing options depending on the user’s preference.
