M.A.D.Editions x Yinka Ilori M.A.D.1S “Grow Your Dreams”

M.A.D.Editions has once again pushed the boundaries of design with the new M.A.D.1S “Grow Your Dreams”, a collaboration with British-Nigerian artist and designer Yinka Ilori. Known for his vibrant use of color and storytelling through design, Ilori brings his artistic vision to the timepiece, resulting in one of the boldest editions of the M.A.D.1 yet.

A Trio of Colorful Themes

The collection is divided into three distinct versions — Sun, Nature, and Water — each produced in a limited run of 400 pieces. The “Sun” edition combines a purple display with a yellow rotor and is paired with a yellow and green rubber strap. The “Nature” model features a red display and a green rotor, matched with a purple and red strap. Finally, the “Water” version highlights a light blue display with a blue rotor, complemented by a strap that blends dark and light blue tones. To balance the vibrant aesthetics, every watch is also delivered with an additional white rubber strap for a more understated look.

Unique Materials and Craftsmanship

For the first time in the M.A.D.1 series, the bezel incorporates color through a HyCeram inlay—a liquid ceramic that is heat-hardened and then hand-polished to perfection. Beneath the rotor, the aluminum baseplate is finished with stamped wave-like textures, producing a striking 3D visual effect.

The rotor itself is a standout element: each titanium blade features a milled tree motif, anodized in vivid shades of yellow, green, or blue to match the theme. Yinka Ilori’s personal touch extends to the number design on the rotating time display as well as his name engraved on the barrel plate.

Technical Details

The watch is powered by the Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G101 movement, offering an impressive 68-hour power reserve. Case dimensions remain faithful to the slimmer profile of the M.A.D.1S, measuring 42 mm in diameter and 15 mm in thickness.

Limited Availability

The M.A.D.1S “Grow Your Dreams” is priced at CHF 3,200 (excluding VAT) and will be allocated via a raffle system. Registration opens on Tuesday, September 2nd, and closes on Monday, September 8th. With only 400 pieces per theme, this collaboration is expected to attract both collectors of Max Büsser’s creations and admirers of Yinka Ilori’s design work.
