Louis Erard Unveils The 2340 Astro Boy Limited Edition Watch
Louis Erard cntinues to explore bold creative directions with the new Louis Erard x Astro Boy, the first collaboration based on the brand’s recently launched integrated sports watch, the 2340. Following its debut only weeks ago, the 2340 series already stood out for its sporty elegance and refined architecture. Now, it steps into the world of Japanese pop culture through a partnership with Tezuka Productions, paying tribute to one of the most beloved manga heroes of all time — Astro Boy.

A Dynamic Dial with Depth and Dimension
The standout feature of this limited edition is its multi-layered dial, designed to bring Astro Boy to life in a dynamic, cinematic scene. The dial shows the character soaring across the surface, propelled by his red rocket boots, leaving behind a trail of smoke that gives the composition an impression of movement.

This is not a simple printed motif — several applied elements and engraved details create volume and depth. In the background, a dark grey engraving depicts the futuristic Metro City and a villain marked with the Louis Erard logo, while Astro Boy, in full colour, dominates the foreground.
To maintain focus on the artwork, the dial has no hour markers, only a minute track rehaut with the brand’s name subtly integrated. The hour and minute hands, as well as the LOUIS ERARD letters, are coated with blue-emission Super-LumiNova, ensuring legibility in low light.
The 2340 Case: A Blend of Titanium and Steel
The Louis Erard x Astro Boy features the same 40 mm flat cushion-shaped case as the standard 2340 model. Combining titanium and stainless steel, the case measures 8.95 mm thick and offers 50 metres of water resistance.

The integrated bracelet is one of the main design highlights, with outer links in brushed titanium and central links in polished steel, resulting in visual contrast and ergonomic comfort. A concealed folding clasp completes the bracelet’s sleek profile.
Movement and Mechanics
Inside, the watch is powered by the Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement, known for its slim 3.60 mm profile and reliable performance. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it provides a power reserve of approximately 56 hours.

The solid caseback hides the movement beneath an engraving of Astro Boy, further reinforcing the watch’s thematic identity.
Limited Edition
The Louis Erard x Astro Boy is limited to 178 pieces and is priced at CHF 3,990 (excluding tax) — a prize that reflects its artistic dial and collectible appeal.

With this release, Louis Erard continues to expand the creative reach of the 2340 collection, transforming its newest integrated sports watch into a canvas for cultural expression that bridges Swiss watchmaking and Japanese imagination.
