Louis Erard Debuts Le Regulator Watch With Exquisite Gran Feu Enamel
Louis Erard reveals for the first time a Regulator with a Gran Feu Enamel dial.
It is a limited edition of 99 pieces that comes in a stainless steel case with an ivory dial made by Donzé Cadrans of Le Locle, which has been producing dials for more than half a century, and as the brand has become accustomed us, it arrives with a very appealing price.
The dial, which is the main highlight of the watch, requires between five and seven layers of enamel and to be fired at 800º C until the desired result is obtained, that is, a smooth and uniform surface. In it, we can find a blue centre hand that, together with the scaled rehaut, is responsible for indicating the minutes, and two symmetrical registers at 12 and 6 o’clock with blue hands too, with black and grey enamel powder prints, with the one at the top providing the hours and the bottom one the seconds.
Housed in a polished steel case with dimensions of 39mm in diameter, 12.82mm in thickness and 45.90 lug-to-lug distance, features a sapphire glass on both sides, a fluted signed crown and 50m water resistance.
It is through the sapphire crystal of the rear case that we can observe the Sellita SW266-1 Élaboré Grade automatic movement that equips the new Regulator, which operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes attached to a grey calfskin strap with stitching on the edges and a steel pin buckle and arrives at CHF 4,500 plus taxes.
