Lorier’s New Roosevelt Watch Celebrates Grand Central’s Timeless Design
Lorier has unveiled its latest creation, the Roosevelt, in collaboration with Grand Central Watch (GCW). This new model marks an elegant step forward for the New York-based microbrand, blending early 20th-century design cues with Lorier’s signature vintage-inspired craftsmanship.
A Design Inspired by Grand Central’s Timeless Architecture
The Roosevelt draws its aesthetic inspiration from the architectural details of Grand Central Terminal, one of New York’s most iconic landmarks. The cushion-shaped case pays homage to the elegant sports watches of the 1920s, while the dial’s design references the famous brass clock that stands at the heart of Grand Central’s main concourse.

Case and Dimensions
At 36 mm in diameter and just over 8 mm in thickness, the Roosevelt achieves a refined, compact profile that balances presence and comfort.

The standout feature of the case is its knurled bronze bezel, which adds visual depth and texture while complementing the warm tones of the material. This marks Lorier’s first use of bronze, a metal that naturally develops a patina over time, ensuring each piece evolves with its wearer.
Dial and Details
The dial of the Roosevelt showcases a sunray finish paired with elegant Breguet-style numerals, creating a striking interplay between vintage refinement and everyday readability. The design captures the Art Deco spirit that inspired Lorier’s earlier Zephyr model, yet the Roosevelt stands on its own as a more substantial, architectural expression of that era.

Protecting the dial is a domed acrylic crystal, a Lorier signature that enhances the retro aesthetic while maintaining a soft visual warmth.
Movement and Strap
At the heart of the Roosevelt is the Miyota Caliber 90S5, an automatic movement renowned for its reliability and smooth performance. This caliber features 24 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), includes hacking seconds for precise time-setting, and delivers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The absence of a date complication keeps the dial clean and perfectly balanced.

The watch is paired with a Horween Shell Cordovan strap, known for its luxurious feel and exceptional durability, further enhancing the Roosevelt’s refined yet versatile character.
Limited Edition and Availability
The Lorier Roosevelt x Grand Central Watch is a limited edition of 250 pieces, at the moment only 100 units are available for pre-order exclusively through Grand Central Watch’s website. Each watch retails for € 890, offering a compelling blend of historical inspiration, thoughtful design, and artisanal craftsmanship.

A Distinctive Chapter in Lorier’s Evolution
With the Roosevelt, Lorier expands its design language beyond its familiar mid-century sports watch roots, embracing a distinctly Art Deco elegance while staying true to its philosophy of timeless design and mechanical reliability. The collaboration with Grand Central Watch not only celebrates a New York icon but also showcases Lorier’s growing versatility as a modern microbrand.
