Longines joins the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Lisbon to celebrate its 230 years, in a limited edition of 100 pieces exclusive to Portugal.
It is a tribute to one of the most emblematic places in Portuguese culture. The São Carlos Theater was opened after the great earthquake of 1755 that destroyed a large part of the city of Lisbon, presenting a neoclassical architectural inspiration.
The emblematic Lisbon concert hall has, over time, had a vast cultural agenda, which includes classical music, opera, choral and symphonic music shows.
The exclusive watch which is part of the Longines Flagship Heritage Collection, arrives in a 38.50mm diameter polished stainless steel case, with a smooth bezel and straight lugs, sapphire glass, fluted crown with the brand’s signature, solid case back engraved with Teatro São Carlos facade and individual numbering, and 30m water resistance.
The dial-in grey anthracite tones, features applied rose gold hour markers and the brand’s logo at noon, Dauphine hands filled with Super-LumiNova, a small seconds at 6 o’clock followed by a date window, a white minute track matching the inscriptions on the dial that includes the brand’s lettering and ‘Flaship’ from the collection and finally a crosshair over the running seconds.
At its heart beats the Caliber L615 automatic movement that operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 50 hours of power reserve.
The elegant watch arrives attached to a black crocodile leather strap inside a special wooden box and is priced at €2,580.
