Longines Expands Spirit Line With Titanium Zulu Time and Two-Tone Flyback
Longines has just expanded its Spirit Zulu line with three new watches, led by the new Zulu Time in Titanium which is an absolute debut and the new Flyback in two tones.
Starting with the charming Spirit Zulu Time, it comes in a Grade 5 Titanium case with an anthracite dial and gilt accents following the entire layout of the steel models introduced in 2023.
The latest GMT in the collection embraces a lightweight case thanks to its premium material featuring 39mm in diameter, 13.50mm in thickness and 46.70mm in length, sapphire crystal, bidirectional bezel with black ceramic insert and 24-hours scale, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s signature, solid case back held by 6 screws and 100m of water resistance.
The anthracite-toned dial features gold-tone applied Arabic numerals and hands filled with Super-LumiNova, a date window at 6 o’clock with a black background, a raised minute/second rehaut bordered by a thin gold ring, a black GMT hand with a red arrow-shaped tip and the brand’s inscriptions at noon with its embossed logo and below at 6 o’clock the red inscription of “Zulu Time” with 5 golden stars.
At its heart beats the automatic L844.4 movement which is COSC certified and comes with a “GMT flyer”, operating 25,200 Vph and offering up to 3 days of power reserve.
The watch is attached to a tapered steel bracelet that goes from 21mm between lugs to 16mm along the folding clasp with a price of €4,550.
Moving to the two new Longines Spirit Flyback, are presented in a two-tone case with green and brown gradient dials.
The stainless steel cases have a gold bezel, crown, pushers, and oscillating weight. The 18k rose gold is used for the version with a brown dial and bezel, and the 18k yellow gold is used for the green version.
The new Flyback comes in a 42mm by 17mm case, with sapphire crystal, a 60-minute bezel, a fluted crown flanked by two pushers, an open case back and 100m water resistance.
The smoky dials feature the same Arabic numerals and hands as the Zulu Time to which it adds two registers, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a running seconds at 9.
Powered by Caliber L791 which is also COSC certified, it reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 68 hours of power reserve.
The watches are attached to a leather strap to match the dial with a folding clasp and are now available for €6,950.
