Jaeger-LeCoultre Presents A New Master Grande Tradition Calibre 948 With A Green Enamel Dial
Jaeger-LeCoultre (JLC) brings a new iteration of the Master Grande Tradition Caliber 948 in a limited edition that comes in a rose gold case with a green enamel dial.
It is not just a new variant of the JLC worldtimer as the main star is its dial requiring each watch 70 hours of individual work to complete.
On the outside, the watch wears a robust round case in 18k pink gold with 40 parts measuring 43mm in diameter and 14.30mm thick, which features a mainly polished finish, recessed lugs with a brushed and microblasted finish, smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock engraved with the brand’s logo, open case back and 50m water resistance.
On the impressive dial, we find a hand-painted globe with champlevé enamel complemented with a laser-cut 18k pink gold grid and underneath a translucent blue-green lacquer with a hand-guillochéd wave pattern mimicking the ocean. In the centre are two rose gold Dauphine hands which, like the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, describe a 360º rotation every 24 hours, supported by the black outer ring with applied gold Arabic numerals. Completing the dial, we also find a green concave ring with several world cities which is responsible for providing the world time.
Inside we once again find the In-house automatic Caliber 948 movement, with 388 components that offer up to 2 days of power reserve.
The watch comes attached to a black alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in the same material as the case and is limited to 20 pieces with the price to be disclosed upon request.
