Jaeger-LeCoultre Expands The Polaris Line With New Ocean Grey Chronograph
In 2025, Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to evolve its Polaris collection with a new chronograph model that features the captivating Ocean Grey lacquer dial—previously introduced on the Polaris Date and Polaris Geographic. The new Polaris Chronograph Ocean Grey combines advanced chronograph mechanics with a refined aesthetic, further enriching the brand’s sport-luxury portfolio.
Case Design
The watch features a stainless steel case that measures 42mm in diameter and 13.39mm in thickness. It offers water resistance to 100 metres, making it suitable not only for everyday wear but also for recreational swimming. True to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s reputation for high craftsmanship, the case showcases a refined mix of finishing techniques. Predominantly brushed surfaces are paired with polished chamfers, adding a level of sophistication rarely seen in sport chronographs. Even the chronograph pushers have been given detailed finishing treatment, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to both functionality and aesthetics.

A Multi-Dimensional Dial in Ocean Grey
At the center of this new release is its intricately constructed dial, finished in a distinctive Ocean Grey tone. This dial is the result of a labor-intensive process involving the application of 35 layers of hand-lacquered coating, which together produce a rich gradient that transitions from a smoky center to darker edges. The surface of the dial is further enhanced with three separate textures: the central medallion displays a sunray-brushed finish that creates a radiant effect; the ring encircling it, where the applied hour markers are positioned, introduces a contrasting grained texture; and finally, the outer section containing the tachymeter scale is executed with a glossy black finish, providing strong legibility and visual contrast. Adding to the dial’s depth and character are subtle orange accents, which appear on the tip of the central chronograph seconds hand and various scale indicators—details that lend a dynamic touch to the otherwise restrained color scheme of grey, black, and blue.

Technical Features
Driving the watch is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s in-house automatic Calibre 761, a column-wheel chronograph movement that delivers precision and durability. The movement offers a power reserve of 65 hours, providing a reliable experience across multiple days of wear. It is also visible through the exhibition caseback, offering a glimpse into the mechanical craftsmanship within.

Versatile Strap System
To enhance versatility, the Polaris Chronograph Ocean Grey is delivered with two interchangeable strap options: a textured blue-grey canvas strap and a robust black rubber strap. Both are equipped with a quick-change mechanism that allows users to easily switch between straps without the need for tools. A shared folding clasp is included, designed to be used seamlessly across both straps.
