Jacob & Co. Unveils The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon
Jacob & Co. has unveiled the second chapter of The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone, a remarkable evolution of its 2023 predecessor. While the new model retains the signature aesthetic of the original, the standout innovation lies in the inclusion of a central tourbillon, subtly concealed beneath the Compass Rose.
The dial remains a masterpiece, featuring a meticulously laser-etched world map on a curved titanium base. A rich blue PVD treatment enhances the oceans, while the continents shine in a luxurious rose gold finish. Two sub-dials, positioned at 12 and 6 o’clock, display dual time zones independently. The upper sub-dial showcases Roman numerals, while the lower counterpart opts for Arabic numerals. Both feature Dauphine hands and a refined railway minute track, replacing the previous model’s Arabic numeral ring. At the heart of the dial, a striking 30-second double-paced tourbillon takes center stage, partially obscured by the elegant Compass Rose.
Encased in polished 18k rose gold, the watch measures 43mm in diameter with an 18.10mm thickness, though its edges taper down to just 10.40mm. A fluted crown sits at 3 o’clock, and the open case back features a blue sapphire crystal adorned with gold-printed continents, reinforcing the timepiece’s worldly theme.
Beneath the surface, the The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone introduces the brand-new Caliber JCAA45 automatic movement integrates a platinum micro-rotor, a first for Jacob & Co. This high-end caliber, a rarity in the brand’s lineup, comprises 300 components and 40 jewels. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, it delivers an impressive 65-hour power reserve.
Completing the ensemble is a sophisticated blue alligator leather strap, secured with an 18k rose gold deployant buckle. Limited to just 199 pieces worldwide, this exquisite timepiece is priced at $230,000, reinforcing its exclusivity and status as a collector’s dream.
