J.N. Shapiro Goes Compact With The 37MM Infinity Series Pure
J.N. Shapiro Watches has unveiled the Infinity Series Pure, a new evolution of its hallmark dress watch collection. First introduced in 2018, the Infinity Series helped establish the California-based independent watchmaker as a name to watch, particularly among collectors who appreciate fine guilloché craftsmanship. The latest iteration, the Infinity Series Pure, takes that legacy into a more refined and accessible territory.

The standout update in the Infinity Series Pure is its newly designed stainless steel case, measuring 37 mm in diameter and just 8.80 mm thick. This represents the slimmest and smallest case the brand has ever produced—ideal for collectors seeking a traditionally sized timepiece that emphasizes comfort and proportion. Despite the more compact dimensions, the watch retains the depth and detail J.N. Shapiro is celebrated for, especially in its guilloché dial work.

Two dial configurations are being offered. The first features a blackened zirconium dial paired with white gold hands, while the second showcases a frosted silver dial with rose gold hands. Both variants display the brand’s proprietary “Infinity Weave” pattern—a technically complex basket weave within a basket weave that exemplifies the high level of artisanal skill behind each dial. This pattern is complemented by engraved and black-filled numerals, tracks, and subseconds register, offering a cohesive and legible layout.

The hands are another highlight. Meticulously sculpted, polished, and finished by hand, they provide a tactile, three-dimensional feel that enhances the overall visual sophistication of the watch. Turning the watch over reveals a hand-engraved and engine-turned caseback, underscoring the brand’s commitment to detail, even on surfaces that aren’t always on display.

Inside the case beats the manually wound La Joux-Perret F200 caliber. Known for its reliability and generous 90-hour power reserve, this movement was chosen to maintain a balance between performance and price. Unlike the brand’s fully American-made Resurgence model, the Infinity Series Pure integrates outsourced components—such as the case sourced via the Alternative Horological Alliance—so that attention can be fully directed to the in-house dials and hands.

Production is limited to just 18 pieces per dial variant, emphasizing exclusivity while keeping the focus on artisanal craftsmanship. Each piece is priced at USD 26,000, with deliveries expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.
