IWC Unveils The Ingenieur Automatic 35 “Pool” With A New Turquoise Dial
To mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic IWC Ingenieur SL designed by Gérald Genta, IWC Schaffhausen has introduced a fresh new version of its compact luxury sports watch. The latest Ingenieur Automatic 35 “Pool” brings a vibrant turquoise dial to the collection, pairing the signature integrated-bracelet design with a color inspired by the relaxed atmosphere of summer.

A Refreshing New “Pool” Dial
The defining feature of the new release is its Pool dial, a light turquoise shade making its debut within the Ingenieur lineup. The vibrant color gives the watch a fresh and contemporary appearance while maintaining the model’s instantly recognizable identity.

Like the other Ingenieur Automatic 35 models, the dial features the signature grid pattern, a defining characteristic of the modern collection that adds depth and texture to the sunlit turquoise surface. Applied hour markers and the faceted hands are filled with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent readability in low-light conditions, while the date window remains positioned at 3 o’clock.
Compact Stainless Steel Sports Watch
The Ingenieur Automatic 35 Pool is housed in a 35 mm stainless steel case, retaining the distinctive integrated sports watch design inspired by Gérald Genta’s original 1976 creation.
The case combines brushed and polished finishes, complemented by the collection’s signature bezel secured with five functional screws. Measuring approximately 9.40 mm thick, the watch offers a slim profile suitable for a wide range of wrist sizes while preserving the robust character of the Ingenieur line.

Completing the design is the integrated stainless steel bracelet, whose H-shaped links continue the seamless aesthetic that has become synonymous with the collection.
Despite its elegant proportions, the watch remains practical for everyday wear with a 100-meter water resistance, making it suitable for swimming and daily activities.
Automatic Calibre with Sapphire Caseback
Powering the new model is the IWC Calibre 47110, a self-winding mechanical movement offering a 42-hour power reserve.

Unlike many integrated sports watches, the Ingenieur Automatic 35 features a transparent sapphire crystal caseback, allowing a view of the movement. Decorative finishing includes Côtes de Genève across the bridges and the oscillating weight, highlighting the movement’s refined appearance.
Price and Availability
The new IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 Pool joins the existing Automatic 35 collection as a permanent model and is priced at CHF 10,500, matching the other stainless steel references in the range.
