Let’s go for a new Pitch Watch
A year ago, IWC introduced the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, which at the time debuted with a stainless steel case and two colour variants on the dial, in blue and green. This year, IWC has again bet on two more variants, one in Ceratanium (titanium ceramic) with a black tone dial and another in titanium with a black dial in the Edition “Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One”.
Today the IWC presents a new edition of its Pilot’s Watch Chronograph in a reduced size but now in bronze, which is not exactly a debut, as it had already tried this type of material in the same Chronograph 41 from its Spitfire Collection (IW387902) that featured a green dial.
The newest Chronograph 41 in the collection (IW388109) as already mentioned comes with a bronze case, whose composition, in addition to the cooper, contains aluminium and iron, increasing its hardness by about 50%. The same material extends to the crown and the two pushers that control the chronograph function. On the blue dial, gold-plated hands, white-dirty (patina) printing and the usual three sub-dials and the day-date window. Inside, everything is the same, powered by the automatic movement Caliber 69385, where the chronograph function is controlled by a column wheel and that comes with 46 hours of power reserve.
The watch is offered with a blue textile strap that comes with an EasX-CHANGE system that allows you to easily change the strap without using tools and can be now purchased at the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers for a price of CHF 7,500.
