Introducing The Tissot PRX Damian Lillard Special Edition
The first special edition of the Tissot PRX has just arrived, after the success of its launch it was expected that in addition to new variants there would also be collaborations with public personalities and brands, and the first of these has just been unveiled and is with NBA star Damian Lillard.
Eight-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard also known as “Dame D.O.L.L.A.” on the music scene, he has just collaborated in the creation of this special edition of the Tissot PRX which in his words reflects sharing the same philosophy with the Swiss watch brand “Tissot and I share a common belief – Greatness can be for everyone”.
As for the watch, it comes in the larger version wearing a 316L steel case 40mm wide by 10.90mm high here with a yellow gold PVD and which is also applied to the integrated steel bracelet, featuring the usual mainly brushed treatment on the surfaces and sides and polished on the bezel, case back and bevels. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s signature “T”, open case back which, in addition to being engraved with Damian Lillard’s name followed by “Special Edition”, comes with the player’s figure drawn on the sapphire crystal, and finally, 100m waterproof.
The black dial that comes with a textured pattern with the replicated shape of “0” which is the NBA star’s jersey number, also comes with a central seconds hand with a “D” shaped counterweight and two vertical parallel strokes that cross it like the dollar figure. On the dial we can also find one more detail that is not found on the regular versions, which is the rehaunt that is engraved with the words “Dame” between 10 and 11 o’clock and on the opposite side with “Time” between 1 and 2 o’clock. All the rest of the layout remains the same, namely the applied baton hour markers and pencil hands all filled with luminescent material, framed date window next to the crown with a white background and the relief inscriptions of the brand at noon and “PRX” followed by ” Powermatic 80″ at 6 o’clock.
And if there were any doubts inside, the dial doesn’t let you lie, running the unstoppable Powermatic 80 automatic movement, which reaches 21,600 Vph and offers up to 80 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes attached to the usual integrated steel bracelet here and like the case it comes with a PVD in yellow gold and a folding clasp engraved with the brand’s logo.
As for prices, the watch, despite being a special edition, maintains the price of the regular steel PVD gold edition of approximately €895, which represents a prize of around €120 compared to the steel editions without PVD in gold.
