Introducing the Yema Urban Field
Yema, the French watch brand, whose launches are essentially based on military-inspired watches, now announces the arrival of Urban Field, which is not unprecedented although it is more common for the brand to bet on diving and aviator watches.
The new Yema Urban Field, which comes in four colours and two sizes, also features a manual movement.
On the outside, the Urban Field is presented in a stainless steel case with 37.5mm or 40mm diameter, 9.6mm thick which is shared by the two case sizes, and with a lug-to-lug distance of 45mm and 48mm respectively.
The sandblasted dial comes in five distinct colours, in white, black, blue, green or golden beige, featuring a layout with a minute railway track in white for the black, blue and green dials and in black for the white and gold beige dials, matching the printed hour markers that include Arabic odd numerals. The dial also features two thin lines that divide the dial into four equal parts and that cross in the centre of the dial, dauphine hands filled with Super-LumiNova, and the inscriptions of the brand’s logo and lettering at 12 o’clock and “Mécanique” at 6 o’clock referring to the movement.
Inside resides the Sellita SW210-1b manual movement that is observable from the rear open case, operating at 28,800 Vph and offering up to 46 hours of power reserve.
The watch in all its variants is offered with a fully polished steel “beads of rice” or “bonklip” type bracelet, the latter being inspired by the bracelets used by the British Army until the beginning of the 80s. Whatever the option, together with the steel bracelet also comes a textured leather strap matching the dial’s hue.
The watches are now available for preorder at prices of € 1,099 and € 1,249 for the bonklip and beads of rice bracelet options respectively, which are expected to begin shipping at the end of June.
