Introducing the TAG Heuer Carrera 60th Anniversary “Glassbox” and Tourbillon
TAG Heuer to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Carrera presents two 39mm models with the “Glassbox” design and a wider 42mm model with a tourbillon.
The two new 39mm chronographs stand out for the sapphire crystal shaped like the domed hesalite crystals of the Heuer Carrera of the 70s, which curve upwards from the tachymeter scale on the dial edge. Crown at three o’clock flanked by the two pump-pushers that control the chronograph function, screwed case back with sapphire crystal that expose the new Caliber TH20-00, highlighting the oscillating mass skeletonized in the shape of the brand’s shield, and 100m of water resistance. water.
It is in the colour of the dial that the two variants are distinguished, one in shades of blue and the other in black-and-silver (reverse panda dial), both featuring a layout of three registers at positions 3-6-9 o’clock, applied hour markers and hands filled with Super-LumiNova, central chronograph seconds hand and a date window at 6 or 12 o’clock for the blue or black variants respectively.
Inside, as already mentioned, the new Heuer 02 automatic movement operates, offering up to 80 hours of power reserve.
The new chronographs are offered with a blue calfskin leather strap or a black perforated calfskin leather strap for the blue and black variants respectively.
The new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon stands out for its tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock.
It wears the same stainless steel case as the two versions above, although wider, domed sapphire crystal, fluted crown flanked by two pump-pushers, screwed sapphire case back and 100m of water resistance.
The blue dial beyond the tourbillon features a dual-register layout at 3 and 9 o’clock in deep azure surrounded by silver rings and orange details over each hour marker matching the central chronograph seconds hand.
Powered by the Caliber TH20-09 automatic movement that offers up to 65 hours of power reserve.
The chronograph comes with a blue calfskin leather strap with a steel folding clasp.
