Introducing The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph 34MM

It was in 2022 that TAG Heuer introduced the solar energy movement for the first time in its Aquaracer line, which it called ‘Solargraph’ and today, two years later, it brings five new models to the collection that now arrive in a reduced size. 

The new watches that become part of the Aquaracer collection now appear in a new size of 34mm, joining the other six already existing, in 27, 30, 32, 35, 43 and 45mm, bringing a total of 62 models. 

The watches come in a mainly brushed stainless steel case with polished bevels that join the unidirectional bezel, which once again incorporates the rider tabs that had been banned in the last update of the collection. Sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with guards, screwed case back and 200m waterproof. 

On the dial, we can find applied hour markers in the form of trapezoids that, together with the pencil hands, are filled with Super-LumiNova, a center seconds hand, a date window next to the crown and the inscriptions of the brand’s logo and the name of the collection at noon and on the opposite side at 6 o’clock references the ‘Solargraph’ movement and ‘200m/650ft’ water resistance. 

As for the different variants, we have the so-called ‘Polar Blue’ which comes with a turquoise dial that features a circular finish that creates the optical illusion of the elements on the dial levitating. Another variant comes with a sunburst blue dial and turquoise details like the second hand, hour markers on the minute track and the ‘Solargraph’ inscription. Finally, we have three models that come with a white mother-of-pearl dial, one with a diamond-set bezel, another with diamond hour markers and another with traditional indices. 

Inside, as already mentioned, the solar-powered Quartz TH50-01 movement operates. 

All watches are attached to a three-link steel bracelet with the brand’s signature folding clasp, which are available now with prices starting at €2,100 for the Polar Blue and blue versions and going up to €4,950 for the mother of pearl version with a diamond-set bezel.
