Introducing The Studio Underd0g Field Watch Collection
After the resounding debut last year with its fun chronographs, which are constantly sold out, the British watchmaking brand Studio Underd0g is now launching its second collection, which arrives in the form of contemporary Field Warches.
The new watches arrive in four variants with full-lumed dials except one, whose tones remain faithful to the fun image of the brand’s watches.
On the outside, the round stainless steel case follows the specifications of the famous Dirty Dozen model decreed by the British Ministry of Defense at the time of WWII, presenting here with 37mm in diameter, 12mm in thickness and 46mm in lug-to-lug distance, smooth bezel, drilled lugs, sapphire glass, fluted crown with brand’s signature, solid case back and 100m of water resistance.
The dial receives seven layers of Super-LumiNova that allow it to glow in the dark, on which sits a sapphire disc held by two visible screws that bear printed the railway minutes, Arabic numerals, the brand’s lettering at noon and two lines of text at the 6 o’clock with “Mechanical” followed by “Hand-winding” relating to movement. Finally, pencil hands and a lollipop centre seconds hand complete the dial layout.
As for the different variants, we have the ‘Pink Lem0nade’ which comes with a gradient yellow-pink dial, the ‘Steffany Blue’ which as the name suggests comes in a light blue tone and with hands filled with beige luminescent material, the ‘Full Moon’ which comes with an off-white dial, and lastly the classic ‘Midnight Black’ with a non-luminescent black dial with hour markers and hands filled with lume.
Inside, they are powered by the Sellita Caliber SW210-1 manual movement as advertised on the dial, with hacking seconds, reaching 28,800 Bph and offering up to 42 hours of power reserve.
The watches come attached to a suede leather strap for the Pink Lem0nade and calfskin for the other three models.
The pre-order period begins on November 1st at a price of €850 and it is estimated that the first 500 units will be shipped by Christmas.
