Introducing the Rolex Oyster Perpetual “Bubbles” Dial
Who says Rolex doesn’t like to take risks? After all, the coronet logo brand manages to surprise us and make us smile through the new Oyster Perpetual.
The new Oyster Perpetual features a turquoise dial decorated with bubbles of different sizes and colours – light blue, pastel pink, yellow, coral and green. The same five lacquer dials colours of the Oyster Perpetual collection launched in 2020.
The watches wear the traditional oyster steel case on the outside in three sizes – 31, 36 and 41mm, smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, fluted crown, steel caseback and oyster bracelet with an easylink micro-adjustment.
Fitted inside with the Caliber 2232 automatic movement for the two smaller versions and Caliber 3230 for the 41mm variant, which offer 55 and 70 hours of power reserve respectively.
Our Thoughts
Known for being conservative and risking little, Rolex ends up surprising us with a set of colourful and fun releases, without giving up the classic lines that characterize it.
We were lucky enough to experience all these new features during Watches and Wonders and even for those more conservative people who at first glance may frown, we can say that the watch is very well made and every time we look at it it is difficult not to smile, so we liked a lot.
