Introducing The Ressence Type 7: The Brand’s First GMT & Integrated Bracelet
Ressence introduces the new Type 7, a significant milestone for the Belgian watch brand as it unveils its first-ever GMT complication alongside an integrated Grade 5 titanium bracelet. This latest release positions Ressence within the competitive sport-chic watch category, a segment that has seen growing demand in recent years.
The Type 7 debuts in two distinct variants: the Night Blue, which becomes a permanent addition to the collection, and the XV Aquamarine, a limited edition of only 80 pieces that commemorates 15 years of the brand’s independence.
Crafted from Grade 5 titanium, the 41mm case with a 14mm thickness features a fully satin-finished surface, enhancing its refined yet contemporary aesthetic. The domed sapphire crystal ensures durability, while the fixed bezel varies by edition, with ceramic for the Night Blue and aluminum for the XV Aquamarine. A solid case back integrates the Ressence Compression Lock System (RCLS), which also functions as a crown, ensuring a seamless and innovative design with 50 meters of water resistance.
The oil-filled dial of the Type 7 showcases Ressence’s signature design, incorporating a central hand for minutes and three asymmetrical rotating sub-dials. The largest sub-dial displays the hours and includes a colored oil temperature indicator, while a 24-hour register facilitates tracking of a second time zone, and a 120-second runner completes the layout. Grade A Super-LumiNova ensures optimal legibility in low-light conditions, reinforcing the watch’s functionality.
At the heart of the Ressence Type 7 is the patented ROCS Calibre 7 automatic movement, composed of 391 components, including 37 jewels. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement delivers a power reserve of up to 36 hours. This intricate mechanism underscores the brand’s commitment to horological innovation and mechanical excellence.
Completing the timepiece is an integrated Grade 5 titanium bracelet that mirrors the case’s satin finish, providing a seamless aesthetic. The deployant clasp features five adjustable positions, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. Scheduled for release in April, the new Ressence Type 7 is priced at CHF 36,000 plus taxes, solidifying its place among the finest sport-chic luxury timepieces on the market.
