Introducing The Oris Aquis Dat Watt Limited Edition II
Oris is again partnering with the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS), resulting in the new Oris Aquis Dat Watt Limited Edition II.
CWSS is an organization whose mission is to protect and conserve the Wadden Sea that stretches along the coasts of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.
In 2021 comes the first partnership between Oris and the environmental organization through a limited edition of 2009 pieces of an Aquis model that came with a blue dial with the lunar cycle and tidal range in the Northern Hemisphere.
The edition that arrives now is limited to the same number of units as the first edition, which pays homage to the year in which the Frisian Sea received the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The new Aquis features a green dial which, under the effect of light, can often have a bluish visual impact and is inspired by the salt marsh. On the dial, we can find the usual applied hour markers and hands all filled with luminescent material, a small seconds at 9 o’clock and a grey circular data display.
Outside, it is dressed in a 43.50mm diameter stainless steel case, with a black unidirectional diving bezel with pip-lume at noon, screw-down crown with screwed crown guards, sapphire glass on the front and solid case back engraved with the image of the Wadden Sea and some of “its” migratory birds, and the usual 300m of water resistance.
Powered by the automatic movement Caliber 743 based on the Sellita SW200-1, it reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve.
In addition to the three-link steel bracelet with an extendable clasp, the set includes an extra blue rubber strap and a strap replacement tool.
The diving watch is available from today in official brand boutiques and authorized retailers for €2,900.
