Introducing the Norqain Adventure Neverest Night Sight
If you like military-type watches that provide the time in any visibility conditions then we have good news, the new Norqain Adventure Neverest Night Sight provides it all.
Watches with illuminated dials have an interesting effect on most people, making them smile and relegating them many times to childhood memories, after all, who doesn’t remember the first digital watch we got, with (ok, tiny) light that made our little friends jealous. Of course, I’m talking to everyone who was born between the 70s and 90s, a universe that I was still lucky enough to be contemplated. For later generations, “illuminated” digital watches were no longer as important as the offer was extended to analog watches, erasing some of the magic of our well-known digital retro watches.
Just recently a friend of mine bought a Timex with the glow function and I must confess that it is at least exciting and addictive to see the display fully illuminated, this is not a new technology and you can find it currently on numerous brands on the market, it is evident with different levels of execution, Norqain has just entered this category with its new Adventure Neveret Night.
The new Norqain really seems to be cut out for adventure as its name implies, its khaki-toned dial is large and hassle-free, allowing for quick and easy reading of real-time, a steel case with black DLC coating with 40mm diameter and a lug-to-lug distance of just 48mm makes it fit almost all pulses, aided by a bidirectional bezel with cardinal points and the north point being replaced by the Norqain logo.
The watch case receives a finish that alternates between brushed and polished, a screwed crown at 3 o’clock protected by large crown guards, frontal sapphire glass, open-through case back, and an appreciable 200m of water resistance.
The sand tones dial, in addition to receiving a full X1 Super-LumiNova coating, comes with applied 3-6-9-12 numerals in black, center hands filled also with Super-LumiNova and the inscriptions of the brand at 12 o’clock and “Chronometer” followed by “200M / 660FT” at 6 o’clock.
Inside it operates its Caliber NN20/1 developed in partnership with Kenissi which was introduced last year, which in addition to being Chronometer certified by COSC offers up to 70 hours of power reserve. It should also be noted that the movement can be observed through the sapphire glass of the rear case, where the balance bridge that anchors the balance wheel on two points and is engraved with its collection names “Adventure – Freedom – Independence” is highlighted, while the brand logo is engraved in the oscillating weight.
The watch is offered with three strap options, with a sand flexible fabric strap with two vertical black stripes, a black rubber strap, or a steel DLC bracelet.
We also highlight the brand’s partnership with the Butterfly Help Project, which gives ten percent of earnings from sales of Adventure Neverest watches to help Sherpa families who lost their lives in the Himalayas and give their children access to education.
Our Opinion
The latest Adventure Neverest is supported by a dial with a different configuration and also by a bezel, which seems to us a little wider, making the dial appear smaller and tidy, escaping from the traditional alignment of the other watches of the brand that pleases us. Regarding the price, and although in line with the other models of the brand, we continue to maintain some reservations regarding similar alternatives on the market.
