Introducing the New Rolex Explorer II Ref. 226570

Another novelty of the Rolex brand within the professional line is the Explorer II 226570 and here and just like last year happened with Submariner, the speculation was a lot of what it was and what it could or should be, however, and how we had the opportunity at the time of this launch of writing, Rolex knows what it is doing better than anyone.

Turning to the watch, it did not undergo any major aesthetic changes in relation to the previous model, the biggest change in this field was exactly the same as what happened with the Submariner and that generated a huge buzz the slimming of the lugs, the difference is that in the Submariner the case it grew from 40 to 41mm and here the case remained at the existing 42mm, contrary to the expectations of many who speculated about a possible reduction in case. But again without wanting to be repetitive and as we said at the time, the slimming of the lugs will have a visual effect that reduces the watch on the wrist and it will start to dress better. The steel bezel remains the same and here the idea that a new ceramic bezel would come around falls down.

At the level of the dial, there are no significant changes to register, the model again has two variants, one with the black dial and the other with the white dial.

The great improvement of this Explorer II is in terms of movement, now with the In-house automatic movement Caliber 3285, which already equips its GMT Master II models, offer 70 hours of power reserve, features high precision, antimagnetic and anti-shock characteristics.

The watch comes with the latest steel Oyster bracelet, Oysterlock folding safety clasp and the welcome Easylink Comfort extension link (around 5mm).
