Introducing the New Rolex Datejust
Rolex has also brought news to its Datejust collection, 6 new models, 5 of them in 36 mm and one in 31 mm. The news here boils down to two new patterns on the dial, throughout history Rolex has been experimenting with this model different dials and say that it has done well since the general public welcomes this news, perhaps because it is a conciliatory model that fits on any wrist, that can be used dress up or dress down and that is totally unpretentious.
So let’s start with the new palm motif dial, which comes in three variants, an Oystersteel version that comes with an Oyster bracelet and an olive green dial, a Rolesor (Oystersteel and yellow gold) with an Oyster bracelet and a gold dial and an Everose Rolesor (Oystersteel and rose gold) with Jubilee bracelet and a grey dial. Only the green variant comes with a domed bezel the other two variants come with a fluted bezel.
The fluted motif dial is the other novelty that comes in two models, a Rolesor with Jubilee bracelet and gold dial and a White Rolesor (Oystersteel and white gold) with Oyster bracelet and blue dial. Both models come with a fluted bezel.
Finally, we have a new 31mm model that comes in White Rolesor with Oyster bracelet and a bright blue dial, unlike the new Datejust 36mm that comes with applied baton hour indexes this one comes with applied Roman hour indexes. This model also features a fluted bezel.
Internally there is nothing new, the 36mm models continue to come equipped with the In-house automatic movement Caliber 3235 that offers up to 70 hours of power reserve, while the new 31mm Datejust also comes with In-house automatic movement but Caliber 2236 that offers up to 55 hours of power reserve.
Prices vary depending on the materials used in the different models, starting at € 6,750 in the Oystersteel version and up to € 11,550 in the Everose Rolesor version.
