Introducing the New Piaget Polo Date 36
A little less than a month after we saw Piaget present at Watches and Wonders several new models in the Polo collection, including a trio of the Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra Thin in stainless steel, pink gold and white gold with blue-sapphire bezel set and even a “humble” Polo Field in steel with a green dial, and all these new inclusions in the 42mm diameter size, Piaget now launches a new 36mm Polo Date Watch.
At first glance, the new Polo looks almost identical to the existing 36mm version including the blue dial with a guilloche pattern, although it now comes attached to a calf leather strap matching the hue of the dial instead of the previously integrated steel bracelet.
In addition to the new strap option mentioned above, another great novelty is that it no longer comes with the previous white gold diamond set hour markers that are now replaced by baton hour markers with a brushed finish matching the bezel.
Everything else on the watch remains unchanged, namely the 36mm diameter by 8.8mm thick steel case, smooth bezel, sapphire glass on the front and case back, 50m water resistance and on the blue dial in addition to the applied hour markers, skeletonized hands, central seconds hand and framed date window at 6 o’clock.
Inside, it continues to come powered by the manufacture Piaget 500P1 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 Vph and offering up to 40 hours of power reserve.
The watch will be available from the 19th of April in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers for a price of $11,000.
