Introducing The New Minase Horizon GEN DLC
Minase, the Japanese watch brand, has just presented its latest creation, the new Horizon GEN DLC, which comes dressed entirely in black.
The brand that once again bets on the unique rectangular case that is the house’s signature and which comes here with a black DLC-coated and curved sapphire glass. His name GEN is written with the kanji symbol “玄 and means depth, darkness, mystery or the color black.
So on the outside we find a steel case with a DLC coating measuring 38mm by 51mm and 12mm thick that features a polished finish on the sides and crown, and brushed on the lugs, sapphire glass, fluted crown at 3 o’clock flanking by guards and an integrated black rubber strap that folows the shape of the lugs and present a depression in the center.
The domed dial with a black PVD coated features a circular spine center that tha houses the inner movement, a trapezoid date window next to the crown where it is possible to observe the current day as well as the previous and next one, applied hour markers in the shape of claws, with the noon one replaced by the brand’s logo, and three centre hands with Zaratsu polishing.
Inside it operates the usual Swiss movement that we can find in many other watches from the brand, the ETA 2892 A2, which operates 28,800 Vph and offers up to 50 hours of power reserve, which once again comes customized for the brand.
It is a limited edition of just 25 pieces that can be purchased for the price of CHF 4,700.
