Another reduced watch introduced by IWC in Watches and Wonders this year is its Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41.
This 41 mm chronograph is not a complete novelty in the IWC Pilot’s Watch collection, a bronze version was launched in the past in the Spitfire collection, but was still missing a more versatile and attractive variant that now reaches in the steel version.
And if you are wondering if this new chronograph size is just an approximation to the original 43mm version, made for real pilots, you are completely mistaken, as this new size present exactly the same features in extreme flight conditions.
This new sized chronograph is now 2mm less than the original 43mm case, 41mm stainless steel case, crown at 3 o’clock and two pushers, sapphire crystal on both sides and so an open case back and 100m of water resistance. The dial as also the new sized Big Pilot’s Watch 43 comes with blue and green dial variants, on the dial three counters, small seconds at 6 o’clock, 12 hours at 9 o’clock and a 30 minute at 12 o’clock and day-date windows at 3 o’clock. Inside operates the In-house movement Caliber 69385, which offers up to 46 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes with a quick-change strap system, that allows an easy change of straps and bracelet without being necessary the use of any tool.
