Introducing The New Doxa Sub 300β Collection
Doxa has just presented its new Sub 300β collection, after debuting in August the Sub 300β Sharkhunter in carbon and 18k gold, which was, after all, an appetizer for what was coming.
The new Sub 300β collection now arrives with a steel case, with a more elegant profile but maintains the 300m water resistance, ceramic bezel, textured dial and in five colour variants.
On the outside it wears the traditional cushion-shaped stainless steel case measuring 42.50mm in diameter, 11.95mm thick and just 44.50mm lug-to-lug distance, black ceramic bezel with coloured accents and a pip-lume at noon, sapphire glass, screw-down crown with a black PVD, screwed solid case back and 300m water resistance.
The dials, which now come with a wave pattern, feature a sunburst finish, and on them, we can find baton hour markers and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova, a lollipop centre seconds hand, a date window at 3 o’clock and the usual lettering inscriptions of the brand followed by ‘Automatic’ of the movement at 10 o’clock and the name of the collection followed by the variant at 4 o’clock.
As for the different variants, they come with names already known from other collections with the ‘Professional’, ‘Divingstar’ and ‘Aquamarine’ sharing the black dial and with coloured details in orange, yellow and turquoise respectively, in the dial accents, bezel and crown. The ‘Caribbean’ comes with a blue dial and the ‘Searambler’ with a white dial, and both with the same coloured details as the other three variants but in orange. It should also be noted that the ‘Caribbean’ is the only one that comes with a two-colour bezel, with black on the edge and blue on the surface.
Inside, it runs a Swiss automatic movement, which reaches 28,800 Bph and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve.
The new diving watches, like the other collections, come attached to a coloured FKM rubber strap or a beads-of-rice steel bracelet, with prices varying between €2,410 for the rubber strap option and €2,450 for the steel bracelet option.
