Introducing The New Code 41 Moon Inception
The independent watchmaking brand Code41 founded in 2016 by Claudio d’Amore brings us a new way of seeing the phases of the moon through the new ‘Moon Inception’.
The watch, which comes in three color variants on the dial, rests on a common base translated into a cushion-type stainless steel case, which comes with a layered dial whose main highlight is the sky designed with vectors of constellations.
The 41.50mm diameter and 11.20mm thick case comes with a mainly brushed finish, smooth bezel, drilled lugs, sapphire glass on both sides, fluted crown at 3 o’clock and 100m water resistance.
The dial comes with a textured lower layer where we can find the inscriptions of the brand’s logo at the top and ‘Phases De Lune’ at the bottom, and on which the cut-out gray upper layer rests, showing a railway minute track on the flange and two sub- dials, one small at 1:30 that comes with a round date window in the center with a white background, and another oversized at 8 o’clock with an aperture with the phases of the moon and both adorned with a celestial sky. In the center we can also find two leaf hands and a second hand with a rocket-shaped tip. Among the variants there is one that comes with a tan and blue dial, another in black and anthracite tones and finally one in blue tones.
It is through the rear sapphire glass that we can observe the Caliber C41-MP automatic movement that gives life to the watch, which is based on the Selitta SW208, featuring hacking seconds operating at 28,800 Vph and offering up to 41 hours of power reserve. Also noteworthy is the oscillating mass that is engraved with stars and a rocket that aims to recreate the Space.
The watches can be attached to a steel bracelet or perforated leather straps in black or tan, with the pre-order period now open and with prices starting at €3,353, plus €335 if you want the watch to come with a COSC certified.
