Introducing The New Chopard Alpine Eagle ‘Sunburnt’
Chopard teams up with tattooist, punk musician and indigenous artist Shaun Daniel Allen to create a limited edition of 20 pieces, the Alpine Eagle Sunburnt.
Part of the revenue obtained will be donated to the Ngunya Jarjum Aboriginal Corporation programs in Australia, whose main mission is to support Aboriginal families within their culture.
The new watch in line with the rest of the collection comes in a Lucent steel alloy case that is owned by the brand, with dimensions of 41mm in diameter by 9.70mm in thickness, chamfered bezel secured with the usual eight screws, mainly brushed finish, glass sapphire, crown with the brand’s signature at 3 o’clock accompanied by guards, open case back painted with a design that aims to recreate the artist’s line in red and black, and finally 100m water resistance.
The sunray dial in shades of red is inspired by the colour of Australian soil, coming with a gradient effect and whose tone intensifies from the centre outwards. In it, we can find applied rhodium-plated Roman numerals and baton hour markers which, like the two centre hour and minute hands, are filled with Super-LumiNova, a centre seconds hand with a feather-shaped counterbalance and a black minute chapter ring matching the date window’s background at 4:30.
At its heart runs the In-house Caliber 01.01-C automatic movement which is COSC certified, operating at 28,800 Vph and offering up to 60 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes attached to the traditional integrated steel bracelet with the external links brushed like happens with the case and with the internal links polished matching the edges of the watch.
The twenty unique pieces will be on sale exclusively in boutiques in Australia for a price of approximately € 18,600.
