Introducing The Mido Multifort 8 Two Crowns In Rose Gold
Mido continues to build on its Multifort 8 Two Crowns lineup with the introduction of a new Rose Gold PVD version, bringing a warmer aesthetic to the brand’s integrated sports watch platform. The latest model combines a black dial with rose gold-treated surfaces, while retaining the technical characteristics that define the Multifort range.
Case
The case measures 40 mm in diameter and is crafted from stainless steel with a full rose gold PVD coating. Its construction alternates between brushed and polished finishes, giving definition to the angular architecture of the case and integrated lugs. A prominent octagonal bezel frames the dial, reinforcing the watch’s sporty character. Despite its solid appearance, the case remains slim at just 9.50 mm thick, with a lug-to-lug length under 45 mm. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.
One of the defining elements of the Multifort 8 Two Crowns is its dual-crown layout. The crown at 4 o’clock is used for setting the time and date, while the crown positioned at 2 o’clock controls an internal rotating bezel, allowing timing functionality without the need for an external bezel.
Dial
The matte black dial is decorated with horizontal grooves, a recurring design element across the collection. Recessed hour markers are used throughout, with round markers for most hours and trapezoidal shapes highlighting the quarter positions. Rose gold-coloured, faceted hands are filled with white Super-LumiNova for legibility in low-light conditions. A framed date window is positioned at 3 o’clock.
Movement
Inside the watch is the Mido Calibre 72 automatic movement. Based on the ETA A31.111 architecture, the movement operates at 25,200 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of up to 72 hours. A Nivachron balance spring improves resistance to magnetism, temperature changes, and shocks. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback.
Strap
The Multifort 8 Two Crowns Rose Gold PVD is fitted with a black rubber strap featuring an embossed pattern that mirrors the horizontal dial texture. It is secured with a rose gold PVD-coated pin buckle and includes a quick-release system for easy strap changes.
